Reported findings
Early studies explored slow-wave activity and sleep measures. A double-blind study in 16 people with chronic insomnia found weak, limited changes and did not demonstrate a substantial therapeutic benefit. Newer work with modified DSIP constructs remains preclinical.
How to read the evidence
The literature is old, small, and difficult to generalize. The name delta sleep-inducing peptide should not be read as proof of a reliable sleep effect in humans.
